Claude

Why Claude, and what I actually do with it.

I've trained people on AI tools since 2023 and tested most of the major models along the way. Since mid-2025, Claude has been the system I recommend and teach, and the one I build with every day.

Why Claude is the system I recommend

At Visual Hive, as Fractional CTO, part of my job was benchmarking the major language models against real tasks for our conference assistants, and choosing which model should handle which job. That's where I learned to judge models on the work rather than on the announcements.

For the two groups I train most, Claude is the one I recommend. For professionals and trainers, it's good at the work they actually do: careful writing, long documents, analysis. Projects keep it grounded in their own material. For people building software, Claude Code turned serious development into something a non-developer can learn to do responsibly, provided they're taught a method rather than left to improvise.

That's a judgement from use, not an affiliation. Digital Bricks is an independent practice with no partnership with Anthropic.

What I teach

Claude for everyday work

Writing, research, analysis and long documents, and how to check what comes back. For professionals, managers and trainers.

Projects, skills and connectors

Setting Claude up with your context, your repeatable processes and your existing tools, so it stops starting from zero.

Claude Cowork

Delegating multi-step work on files and tasks, and deciding as a team what should and shouldn't be delegated.

Claude Code

For non-developers building internal tools, and for founders building products: a working method, version control, testing, and knowing when to stop and ask.

Claude for trainers

Designing and adapting training materials with Claude without giving up pedagogical judgement.

Safe and responsible use

Data, confidentiality, checking outputs, and a usage policy people will follow. Useful for meeting the EU AI Act's AI-literacy requirement.

What I use every day

Claude
Projects for each client and course, my own skills for recurring work, and connectors to the tools I use. Research, writing, analysis and course design.
Claude Code
My main development environment, in the terminal and in VS Code. Everything on this site, and far larger projects, is built with it.
Claude API
Used since early 2025 in production chat assistants for conferences, alongside other models where a benchmark showed they were the better fit for a specific job.
MCP
I build Model Context Protocol servers so Claude can work inside other tools. NodeGX has one that lets Claude read and edit NodeGX projects directly.
