About

From language trainer to Claude specialist.

I've spent my working life explaining things to adults, and the last ten years building software. Claude is where those two finally met.

I started teaching languages to adults in 2009; my own degree is a BSc in Mathematics from Queen's University Belfast. In 2012 I took the Cambridge DELTA and went on to become Director of Studies: designing programmes, training other trainers, and learning the hard way that people remember what they practise, not what they're told.

In 2016 I started building apps with Bubble. I'd never managed to learn to code the conventional way; I needed to see the thing I was building. Wappler, Webflow and Noodl followed, and by 2018 I was building for clients professionally, part-time.

Meanwhile, in 2017, I founded my own training organisation and took it through Qualiopi certification. When Covid arrived, demand for low-code apps exploded, and the company moved mostly into building them. The work was good; the pricing wasn't, and it closed in 2022. The lesson was about pricing and scope, not craft, and it's why my prices and terms are now written down in public.

Since then I've worked independently, building and consulting, and from late 2024 as Fractional CTO at Visual Hive, where I benchmarked the major AI models and built multi-model assistants for conferences. I've trained people on AI tools since 2023, and in mid-2025, once it was clear that Claude could handle serious development and research work, it became the system I teach.

That's the focus of my practice now: training people and teams to work well with Claude, working with training organisations that need a skilled trainer, and helping founders ship what they've built with Claude Code safely.

I live and work in the Dordogne. I'm a native English speaker and work professionally in French.
